Industrial Engineer 
Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick 
€Excellent DOE 

Our client specialises in developing innovative electronic, electromechanical and mechatronic products for the automotive industry. They are now looking for an Industrial Engineer to join their team based in Abbeyfeale. 

This is the ideal role for an engineer from a high volume electronic or manufacturing environment with an understanding of simulation software to advance their career and help develop some exceptional manufacturing practices.

As an Industrial Engineer, you will offer a range of services to our client to enhance their industrial services and offering and improve their manufacturing capability. 

Specifically, you will be involved in product cost improvement projects, design ergonomic workplace settings and improve and optimise material handling processes and systems. 

You will review work methods to improve processes and efficiencies, complete time studies and work plans and provide The Manufacturing Department with standard timings to ensure production processes are effective. 

Additionally, your role will involve: 

- Undertaking value stream mapping activities 
- Creating simulations of production lines 
- Analysing plant capacity, line balancing and line balance losses 
- Supporting new product introductions 
- Completing manufacturing costings, Lean Six Sigma projects and ROI calculations 

To be considered, you must have: 

- At least three years’ engineering experience in a high volume electronic or manufacturing industry, ideally as an Industrial Engineer 
- Knowledge of simulation software 
- A degree, ideally a Masters or PhD in Industrial, Production, Manufacturing or Process Engineering (Minimum Level 8 on NFQ) 

Methodical and motivated, as an Industrial engineer, you must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plenty of initiative and the ability to work well as part of a team. Strong drive and a history of good attendance is also key. 

Experience of production layouts, cost improvement, time study work methods and simulation production line modelling would be a distinct advantage.
