DESCRIPTION
We are a Dublin based mobile solutions company and our software targets the UK market. We are involved in developing exciting, innovative and dynamic software and hardware for our Refurbify product. Your role would involve working in an agile environment with our development team with the opportunity to be involved in the design of our product
KEY COMPETENCES AND SKILLS
o 3+ Years in Ruby on Rails development
o Develop and maintain web applications
o Work and communicate with client application developers and other back-end developers o Ensure that each project works on target browsers
o Ability to write clean and easily understandable code
o Stay up to date on emerging technologies and techniques
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
o Thorough understanding Rails conventions and Ruby OO model
o Deep knowledge of core browser technologies: Javascript, HTML 5, CSS3, AJAX o Familiarity with jQuery library and twitter bootstrap
o Use of time savers, such as CoffeeScript & LESS
DESIRABLE SKILLS
o Writing code in accordance with test driven development principles
o Understanding the challenges and advantages of web application development
o Agile development experience and GIT workflow
o Object-orientated data modeling
o Knowledge of best practices in REST API development
o Previous experience with PostgreSQL
o Mobile framework(e.g. cordova, ionic) or 3D graphical development experience ( not
essential )
