Customer Service Controller - Engineering / Construction

Finning is one of the world’s largest suppliers of Caterpillar construction, earthmoving, quarrying and mining equipment. They are now seeking a Customer Service Controller to join their team.

As a Customer Service Controller, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding experience to Finning’s customers by ensuring that resources meet their needs. You’ll also provide leadership and coaching to a team of Engineers to maximise customer satisfaction.

Developing an understanding of customers’ requirements, you’ll undertake capacity and capability planning to ensure that their needs are met. You’ll control the end-to-end repair process from a customer service perspective and ensure that service processes and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Additionally, you’ll oversee the health and safety of employees and manage any performance issues within the team of Engineers.

Your other duties will include:

- Creating service quotes
- Keeping customers informed throughout the entire process
- Using data to drive continuous improvements in customer experience and performance

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- At least three years’ experience in a technical or mechanical engineering role
- A foundation level qualification in, and an understanding of, engineering

Financially and commercially aware, as a Customer Service Controller, you will be a champion of safety, highly organised and a strong communicator. A customer driven approach will be key, as will a strong sense of ownership for customers’ care and experience.

Ideally, you’ll have advanced engineering abilities, but this isn’t essential.
