Our client is a leader in controlled environment solutions for pharmaceutical, medical devices, biotechnology, health care, electronics and nutrition. They are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support their increase in demand.

Keltia Ireland is a technical support services company providing CAD training, engineering design, and a broad range of technical recruiting services to customers in the Aerospace, Automotive, Pharma, Food & Beverage and Medical Device industries on a permanent and contractual basis. We have been in business in the US for over 20 years and in Ireland since 2012.

Summary of Role:
The company provides Controlled Environment solutions to the Life Science industry within Ireland, UK & Europe. The company is expanding its sales team and is now looking to appoint an experienced Sales Engineer with a particular focus on Material Handling, to grow our engineering product and service portfolio into Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland market.

This is an exciting new role that will involve creating credible relationships with our portfolio of clients, maintaining these relationships, and identifying new opportunities to deliver real solutions to core challenges. Our office is based in Tipperary County, however this role will be predominantly site based with our clients in NI and ROI.

Your role will be to present our offering to both existing and new clients and then to expand on that discussion by understanding client processes and identifying opportunities to which we can apply our core competencies. You will have the support of our internal project management and design team, to deliver a solution that will improve the safety and efficiencies of client specific process.

We require a self-motivated individual with both commercial and technical aptitude that is highly organized, innovative, and skilled in technical and fast-response communication with experience in a food company:

  • Growing existing client base as well as developing new business opportunities
  • Develop knowledge of the Company's products and solutions
  • Manage sites and contacts within your territory
  • Develop sales forecasts and contribute to the marketing plan
  • Manage opportunities & Proposals
  • Close & follow up Opportunities
  • Sourcing key decision makers in Life Science companies
  • Conduct market research on sector activity and competitor knowledge
  • Plan & conduct regional site tours
  • Overall Project / Account Management
  • Representing the business in a polished, professional manner at all business meetings and events
  • Collaborate with internal departments on campaigns to drive new leads
  • Report on sales activity, appointments, inquiries, calls and proposals

Key tasks:

Manage Sites in Territory
Help develop specific sales forecasts and marketing plan with Sales & Marketing Management

Identify and qualify new/key sites with Inside Sales Management

Research and understand top sites operations and how RHEO can support the site

Keep site information up to date in CRM system

Manage Contacts at Key Sites

Develop & maintain relationships with stakeholders at key sites

Maintain relationships with regular correspondence

Keep clients informed of recent projects & new developed solutions that fit client's interests & needs

Schedule routine follow-up e-mail or phone calls

Request client feedback

Ensure all open customer service tags are fully addressed and completed

Update CRM with communication efforts

Keep contact information up to date in CRM system

Manage Opportunities & Proposals

Identify, generate and qualify opportunities from qualified contacts at top sites

Utilize Inside Sales resources and tools to present conceptual design, budgetary number, est. lead time to the client

Submit New Project Submissions to Inside Sales with necessary opportunity details

Present proposal & demonstrate solution fit to client with Inside Sales support

Keep opportunity probabilities, amounts & estimated close dates up to date in CRM system

Close & Follow-up Opportunities

Close project by creating and communicating value throughout the Sales Process

Negotiate with the support from Sales Manager to win sale (when necessary)

Follow-up with clients on shipped product to ensure client satisfaction and easy implementation

Plan and conduct regional site tours

Using CRM and mapping tools, plan and schedule routine regional site visit tours

Utilize other RHEO personnel (Technical Sales, Managing Director, Sales Manager, etc) to conduct site visits as needed

Project Management of Sale

Handoff project details to Project Manager

Manage client expectations and commercial details of projects

When necessary coordinate meetings between client & engineering

Ensure follow through on promises made

Common Activities/Tasks:

Selling/Commercial

  1. Developing your sales region with the support of the Inside Sales Team
  2. Research and qualify strategic accounts with support of the Inside Sales Team
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at manufacturing sites as well as engineering firms
  4. Plan and conduct regional client visits where you will present our company, products, and services
  5. Identify, generate, and qualify opportunities in your territory
  6. Manage client expectations and project details [working with your assigned project manager]
  7. Work with the Inside Sales Team to determine pricing
  8. Create and communicate value throughout the sales process to close the opportunity
  9. Negotiate and manage the purchase order process

Technical/Consulting

  1. Interview clients to understand their process safety needs, challenges, and priorities
  2. Collaborate with clients and conduct design review meetings to determine the best process design solution
  3. Create presentations to communicate solution benefits
  4. Communicate and promote technologies and capabilities to clients.
