Our client, Armorum Limited, based in Co. Dublin, is currently seeking Field Service Engineers - Cranes for immediate start at their two facilities in Co. Dublin.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- To provide high-quality maintenance and repair services for a range of cranes and lifting equipment
- To travel to customer locations to carry out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on mobile, tower, and overhead cranes, ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Perform scheduled maintenance, fault diagnosis, and breakdown repairs on a variety of cranes and lifting machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on-site.
- Carry out safety inspections, load testing, and calibration of crane systems in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Provide technical support and advice to clients, ensuring clear communication and minimal downtime
- Prepare detailed service and inspection reports and maintain accurate job documentation
- Work collaboratively with workshop and parts teams to coordinate repairs and parts supply
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental standards during all field operations
Requirements:
- Candidates must have the requisite experience and knowledge to perform all job duties listed above
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working on cranes (e.g., mobile cranes, tower cranes, or overhead cranes) and other heavy equipment in a field service capacity
- Trade qualification as service engineer, electrician, or equivalent
- Proven experience servicing and repairing cranes or heavy lifting equipment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Experience working on brands such as Cummins, Liebherr, Caterpillar, MTU
- Skilled in electrical fault finding, including sensors, relays, CAN-bus, and PLC-controlled systems.
- Ability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics and use OEM diagnostic software.
- Experience with load indicators, limit switches, and safety systems in accordance with LOLER/PUWER (or equivalent).
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and hydraulic test equipment.
- Capable of producing accurate service and inspection reports using digital systems.
Annual Remuneration: €56,784.00; Pay Rate €28.00 per hour
