Job Requirements
As part of the in-flight catering team, this specialist role, reporting to the Purchasing Manager, involves maintaining high-performance standards within service level agreements and adhering to health, safety, and company policies. The following list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and other duties may be assigned as necessary to meet the demands of the business and ensure effective team performance. Responsibilities include: Check and inspect goods for accuracy, quality, and temperature upon receipt. Review and validate supplier invoices, updating the Food Margin report accordingly. Monitor and conduct inventories of stock, liaising with operations for relevant updates. Place supplier orders via online portals or email, utilizing mechanical handling equipment if needed. Label, date, and organize stock, ensuring cleanliness and safety in storage areas. Follow food safety procedures and maintain accurate records, including delivery checklists and temperature monitoring. Undertake cleaning duties, ensuring storage areas are spotless, and shelves are neat. Manage yard upkeep, waste disposal, and removal of hazardous products. Report any compromising situations to the Purchasing Manager, Quality Control Manager, Duty Manager, or Executive Chef. Pick, pack, load, and unload products for all outlets, ensuring timely movement through the stores. Report defects in company vehicles and equipment to Senior Management.
