· Experience in working with Agile methodologies
· Enterprise Architecture experience as well as Solution Architect experience, development background beneficial
· Experience of omni-channel/digital projects focusing on customer/client experience
· Experience of insurance industry

· Contribute to the development of the team’s direction and strategy in order to maximize value
· Where tasked, contribute to the client IT strategic direction through the production of roadmaps, policies and standards where appropriate
· Deliver design or assurance documentation in line with project timelines to ensure solution meets business expectations
· Review and endorse, or challenge, solution designs, and other deliverables, proposed by third party solution providers, throughout the lifecycle of any project to ensure these meet business objectives
· Maintain accurate logs of all key design decisions for the project to ensure appropriate project documentation is in place
· Use standardised tools and approach to documenting solutions sections to ensure consistency across the team
· Monitor solution progress and escalate any long-term or short-term issues or deviations through documentation to ensure accurate upwards reporting
· Participate in all internal meetings, as required, in order to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice
· Understand the business context of any solution to ensure it meets the broader business needs of client
· Understand the IT landscape within which the solution needs to exist in order to develop fully effective IT solutions
· Maintain regular contact with key internal stakeholders and external service suppliers to monitor progress and address any issues or risks to portfolio delivery
· Provide status reporting in a concise format to ensure relevant stakeholders are kept updated of progress and informed decisions can be made
· Collaborate with delivery teams to fully identify all project constraints and validate the project approach and scope
· Proactively challenge requirements and solution designs where appropriate. Negotiate the best possible solution for client, taking into account both short and long term needs
· Understand and promote adherence to client IT Strategy, Architecture Principles, standards and Roadmaps
· Throughout the lifecycle of a project provide design leadership to ensure solutions have integrity and consider functional, data and technical aspects
· Throughout the lifecycle of a project provide design leadership to ensure that solutions are in line with broader project or service constraints, such as time and cost
· Advise and /or collaborate with third party service providers to ensure that all IT designs align with Enterprise Architecture principles and roadmaps
· Ensure that solutions are considered end-to-end in business terms and requirements are well understood by suppliers and the project team
· Ensure requirements are managed to balance business benefits and solution constraints in order that projects scope is fit for purpose
· Ensure solutions are managed to meet requirements so suppliers deliver against this appropriately
· Define documentation standards and coverage for technical solutions to ensure consistency and quality
· Proactively identify potential problems/gaps in the end-to-end solutions and look for opportunity to mitigate risks and drive closure of gaps
· Where assigned, contribute to the continual improvement of live service through identification, analysis and resolution of issues to support the delivery of a first class IT service
· Maintain an up to date knowledge of market developments to identify and deliver opportunities to leverage existing or emerging technologies and business models which enhance business performance
