Role: LTE/NR Test engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

As a Protocol Test Engineer based in UK, you will be responsible for testing of product(s) compliant to 3GPP specifications for customers in UK. This will include integration, test planning and testing of NR5G/ LTE/ LTE-A features, in-depth log analysis of NR5G/ LTE protocol layers L1, L2, L3 and testing of end to end NR5G/ LTE call flows. You will be part of a team at customer site responsible for delivering new 3GPP features for 4G products.
Key Responsibilities include:
•Develop test strategies for NR5G/ LTE/ LTE-A features
•Provide test plan and conduct review meetings for new NR5G/ LTE/ LTE-A features
•Develop and execute test scenarios
oDevelop new test cases as per approved test plan
oValidation of test cases based on 3GPP specifications
oReport observed issues to development team(s) with detailed analysis
oAnalyze regression(s) and report issue(s) to concerned team(s)
oSupport feature integration
•Maintenance and new setup integration of test setups
•Interact with development and project management team(s).
•Work as part of a customer protocol testing team, sharing knowledge, providing feedback in team meetings and giving input to weekly and monthly status reports
•Help in preparation of internal and external training material and participate in customer facing training sessions when required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/REPORTS TO STRUCTURE:
•Reporting to the Project Manager based in UK.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
•Degree in telecommunications or other relevant engineering field.
•6+ years’ experience in a telecommunications role.
•Experience with NR5G RAN product(s) testing and script development on test equipment.
•Experience with 4G RAN product(s) testing and script development on test equipment.
•L1/ L2/ L3 Protocol knowledge
•Experience in scripting languages preferably Python.
•Customer support experience (desirable).
