Manufacturing Technician – Weekend Night Shift
Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick

If you have experience in high volume manufacturing and finding mechanical faults, this is a brilliant opportunity to take on a diverse contract with a well-established business.

The Company

Our client specialises in developing innovative electronic, electromechanical and mechatronic products for the automotive industry. They are now looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join them, working weekend night shifts, on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the equipment during shifts.

You will work with an emphasis on friction stir welding, seal test, wash, and burst test processing.

Specifically, you will:

- Provide preventative maintenance and monitor machines
- Maximise machine up time and utilisation
- Develop expertise with all aspects of new equipment and technology including production processes
- Carry out the changeover of machines
- Identify ways to improve machinery and work areas
- Manage and control spare parts and stock levels

About You

To be considered as our client’s Manufacturing Technician, you will need:

- Experience in high volume manufacturing with experience of CNC machining and cutting tools, work piece jigs and hydraulics
- Experience in supporting automation and PLC systems
- Fault finding experience with mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical control
- Experience in a mechanical production environment
- At a minimum, a Level 6 qualification in Engineering or equivalent

Ideally, you will have a level 7 diploma in engineering, but this is not essential.

Other organisations may call this role Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Technician, Electrical Technician, Mechanical Production Technician, Preventative Maintenance Technician, or Production Technician.

This is a full-time role, working three 12 hour shifts of 19:30 – 7:30, Friday – Sunday.
