The Organisation

Founded in 1968, our client is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children and adults with special needs, as well as their families.

Fostering a person-centred approach, they provide early intervention, pre-school, school, adult day services, residential, respite care, elder care and home support throughout the North Cork and South West Limerick region.

They are now looking for a Person In Charge (Clinical Nurse Manager) to join them and support the successful delivery of their residential services.

The Role

As a Person In Charge, you will provide a person-centred, socially inclusive support service to individuals with an intellectual disability.

Proactively promoting our client’s values, you’ll coach, develop and supervise a nursing team, supporting them to deliver high-quality care to residents.

Additionally, you will:

- Promote dignity and respect for all residents at all times
- Develop and supervise a care team
- Effectively manage resources
- Assist with staff recruitment activities
- Ensure that records are accurate

About You

To be considered as a Person In Charge, you will need:

- At least five years’ experience of working with children and/or adults with an intellectual disability within a residential setting
- Proven managerial skills and at least three years’ experience at management level
- Experience of managing residential budgets
- A strong understanding of HIQA
- A management qualification to Fetac/QQ1 level 6 or equivalent
- An up-to-date NMBI registration
- A full driving licence and evidence of employer indemnification on your insurance
