Permanent Contract, 39 hours
The purpose of the job is to promote and support young person’s personal growth with a focus on community integration, positive relationship building, understanding your rights and responsibilities as an adult and exploring Service User’s own potential for a bright future. To provide support to Resource Services that operate in a day service capacity. To support service users with mild to moderate learning disabilities and young person’s with dual diagnosis. These jobs are supporting the growth of the day services being run in Dundalk.
Minimum Education & Skills required
§ Qualification in Social Care, or equivalent.
§ Previous experience of working in the Community and Resource Centre Services.
§ Experience of working with people with ID and various disabilities.
§ To be person centred driven, open to continuous learning within the field of disability and mental health.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
§ To develop professional supportive positive relationships with service users that provides a platform that will enable the Facilitator to create with the persons a Person Centred Support Plan that will include goals and actions that realize and fulfill the persons potential, motivations and ambitions.
§ To ensure that the Service User’s privacy, dignity, equality, choice, respect and confidentiality is adhered to at all times.
§ To ensure delivery of a quality service by designing, implementing, and reviewing quality monitoring systems appropriate to requirements of each individual, providing personal assistance in all aspects of everyday living skills, carrying out any duties necessary to ensure the approach is SU focused.
§ Must have good report writing skills and IT skills
§ Programme facilitation skills and good networking skills
§ Excellent interpersonal skills
§ Full driving license is desirable.
