Job Description
Sea Freight Development Manager
Belfast, Co. Antrim
£35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Our client specialises in supply chain and intermodal freight transport solutions. Established in 2007, the company operates out of Belfast, Liverpool, Singapore and Indianapolis. They work with a varied and diverse range of customers across a number of business sectors and industries. Our client is now looking for a Sea Freight Development Manager to join them in Belfast.

You will have the chance to build and shape your own team, oversee our client’s Sea Freight Department and implement key operational changes to drive the success of the business.

As the Sea Freight Development Manager, you will develop our client’s current sea freight operations into a new Sea Freight Department.

In this important role, you will:

- Recruit, coach and oversee your team
- Build strong relationships with customers to increase business
- Manage suppliers and ensure that a first-class service is delivered
- Develop and implement processes to support the smooth running of the department

To be considered, you will need:

- At least five years’ sea freight operations experience, including freight forwarding experience
- Experience of import and export sea freight customs management
- Strong management skills
- The ability to implement sea freight operational processes
- The ability to build a sea freight team, including operational and performance controls

Commercially-astute and results-driven, as the Sea Freight Development Manager, you’ll be personable and able to quickly forge relationships with customers. A pragmatic approach to problem-solving is also key.
