Job Description

 

The Social Media Administrator handles communication on social media and email. They define and publish content for specified target markets (media, web content) in accordance with TII Policy and in alignment with the concept of operations. The individual responsibility is to deliver relevant content on social media and to monitor the effectiveness of different web communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

· Engage with Twitter users who are interacting with the TII Traffic Twitter account;

· Manage user expectations by identifying what comments should be responded to and not responded to;

· Redirect customer queries that do not relate to the OMTTCC operational services to the appropriate operational party, or stakeholder or government body;

· Oversee the implementation of approved road safety social media campaigns;

· Monitor social media trends and tailor tweets so that they join the national discussion (where appropriate);

· Communicate with Network Assistance Agents and Control Room Operators to assist with timely notification of network incidents and events that may impact followers;

· Log customer care issues in the incident management systems;

· Scan for tweets that may require response but may have not been sent to TII Traffic. These tweets will not be replied to but still logged;

· Set the objective of the community (brand promotion, testing of new ideas, etc.);

· Define the key indicators and monitor them (number of posts, quality of answers, number of followers, etc.) and create specific reports;

· Analyse data and traffic via web analytics tools to improve web referencing;

· React quickly and positively in case of “bad buzz” and report to Shift Manager;

· Pilot the efficiency of technical functionalities and command specific developments if needed;

· Extend the brand presence on the web by implementing communities on new networks;

· Liaise with associated third parties in curating social media campaigns / responses;

· Report tweets that some may find distressing.

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience in a similar communications role;
• A strong understanding of social media platforms;
• Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Strong communication and computer skills with report writing ability;
• Capable of working in a demanding area as part of a team;
• Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisation, time management, attention to detail, planning and delivery skills.
