They are now looking for a Transport Operations Manager to provide guidance and expertise to the Group on all transport matters.

The Role

As the Transport Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Group’s Transport function.

Ensuring that customers receive an excellent service, you will oversee the fleet programme on a strategic level and make sure that the group complies with all current legislation.

You will also:

- Implement best practice around branch transport operations
- Identify and remove any operational inefficiencies or barriers
- Develop and implement a training programme for all transport managers across the group
- Work with the eCommerce Team to set-up the group’s new online fulfilment operation
- Audit third-party transport providers to ensure they are delivering a first-class service
- Support the roll-out of a new EPOD system

About You

To be considered as the Transport Operations Manager, you will need:

- Fleet management experience
- Previous experience of managing a transport function across a branch network
- Experience of system integration and acquisition formalities
- Previous experience of managing day-to-day legislative guidelines
- Experience of managing fleet administration/contractual processes and maintenance support of SLAs, agreements and associated costs
- Experience within eCommerce and online fulfilment operations
- The technical knowledge to solve operational issues around transport legislation and resolve issues such as load handling and safe operation
- Knowledge of the strategic project planning required for any legislation change or improvements
- The ability to manage third party transport provider relationships and all replacement fleet entry and exit processes and schedules
