Glass & ALU CAD Ltd. is seeking an experienced Aluminium Façades Production Supervisor to coordinate and oversee production activities within our busy factory, specialising in commercial glazing and aluminium façade systems.
This is a key position working closely with office management, factory personnel, machining operators and fabrication team leaders to ensure production runs efficiently, quality standards are maintained, and finished products are prepared in line with project schedules and site delivery requirements.
A minimum of 10 years' experience working with commercial glazing systems is essential. Only applicants with direct experience in the façades industry will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily production meetings with office management and factory teams.
- Communicate production information, drawings, schedules and project requirements to factory personnel.
- Coordinate factory production schedules and workflow.
- Coordinate the programming and machining of aluminium profiles and hardware accessories with fabrication team leaders.
- Work with CNC operators to check that machined components meet the relevant cutting, milling and drilling programme requirements.
- Check production materials against orders and delivery schedules.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and coordination for fabrication team members.
- Work with fabrication teams on production assembly, packing and preparation for site deliveries.
- Manage production quality assurance (QA), inspections and quality control.
- Coordinate workflow between the office, factory, machining shop, assembly, packing and transportation to site.
- Monitor production progress to help ensure work is completed to the required specifications and project deadlines.
- Liaise with site teams to coordinate packing and delivery schedules.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience working with commercial glazing systems.
- Direct, hands-on experience in the aluminium façades industry.
- Strong understanding of aluminium profile fabrication and commercial glazing production.
- Experience coordinating factory production, machining and fabrication activities.
- Ability to interpret production drawings, schedules and technical information.
- Experience working with CNC machining operators, including an understanding of machining capabilities and limitations.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple teams and manage competing production priorities.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced façades professional who understands the complete production process, from receiving project information and coordinating machining through to fabrication, quality control, packing and site delivery.
They must be confident working alongside office management and factory teams, communicating technical requirements clearly and taking responsibility for coordinating production activities efficiently.
Industry experience is essential. This position is not suitable for applicants without a commercial glazing or aluminium façades background.
