Around 300 jobs at Nuvion Group at risk as company enters receivership
About 300 direct jobs are at risk at delivery and logistics firm Nuvion Group, which has entered receivership.
It is understood that hundreds more positions among subcontractors, franchisees, and independent couriers across the company’s delivery network could also be affected.
Nuvion Group operates Parcel Connect, Fastway Couriers Ireland, and Nügo.
A company spokesperson said the business has struggled with “sustained inflation, rising operating costs, and ongoing price pressures across the parcels market,” which have made it no longer viable in its current form.
Mark Degnan and Brendan O’Reilly of Interpath Advisory have been appointed as receivers.
“Delays and disruption are expected, and the receivers will work with retailers to minimise such delays,” the spokesperson said. “We want to sincerely thank our employees, franchisees, and customers for their continued understanding and support during this difficult time.”
50,000 packages affected
There are approximately 50,000 packages currently in the system awaiting delivery. The receivers are working with a third-party delivery provider to ensure parcels are delivered as quickly as possible.
Customers are being advised to continue tracking their shipments using existing online tools or to contact the sender for updates. Those experiencing significant delays are urged to reach out directly to the retailer from which they purchased their goods.
For Parcel Connect customers, anyone planning to drop off return items should now contact their retailer for alternative arrangements.
