Job Description

Nurney Plant and Civil are currently looking for a Concrete Finisher. 

Salary: 37,000 to 40,000
Location: Carlow
Hours: 39 hour week
The Role

We are seeking experienced Concrete Finishers to deliver high-quality concrete finishes across a range of active projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Place, level, screed, float and trowel-finish concrete to the required tolerances and surface finishes
  • • Form and finish slabs, foundations, floors, bases, paths and structural elements
  • • Operate power floats, trowels, screeds and other concrete finishing equipment
  • • Set out and check levels to ensure accurate, high-quality results
  • • Cure, protect and make good newly placed concrete
  • • Carry out quality and surface-finish checks and any remedial works required
  • • Work safely alongside groundworkers, pump operators and site management

Job Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a concrete finisher on construction or civil engineering sites
Valid SOLAS Safe Pass card
Manual Handling certification
Relevant CSCS ticket(s)
Good knowledge of concrete finishes, curing methods and tolerances
Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
Reliable team player with a strong safety focus

Desirable
• Abrasive Wheels training

• Experience power floating large industrial floor slabs

• Full clean driving licence and own transport
