About the Employer

Roland Horvath provides painting and decorating services for residential and commercial properties in County Cork. The business focuses on surface preparation, quality finishes and property maintenance, with an emphasis on reliability, attention to detail and professional workmanship.

We are seeking an experienced Painter to carry out painting and decorating work across a range of properties, ensuring high-quality results and compliance with health and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities

·        Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks and applying primers as required.

·        Apply paint, varnish and protective coatings to interior and exterior surfaces.

·        Carry out detailed finishing work, including cutting-in, touch-ups and decorative painting.

·        Work with various surfaces, including plaster, wood, metal and masonry.

·        Select appropriate paints, materials and techniques for each project.

·        Maintain painting tools, equipment and materials in good working condition.

·        Follow work schedules, specifications and instructions.

·        Comply with health and safety requirements and maintain a clean, organised work area.

Job Requirements
Candidate Profile
· Minimum of two years' experience as a Painter in residential, commercial or property maintenance settings.

· Good knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques and finishing standards.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Familiarity with painting tools, materials and safe working practices.

· Strong attention to detail, reliability and time management skills.

· Ability to complete tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.

· Availability to work on-site in Ireland for 39 hours per week.
