Job Description

SSRL ONE LTD. Inver Costcutter Clane require a Business Development Manager, to perform the following Functions: 
Strategic Sales Planning – Working with senior management to develop sales strategies, set revenue targets, and identify growth opportunities.
Product & Service Portfolio Management – Recommending product and service ranges based on customer demand, seasonal factors, and profitability analysis.
Market Research & Analysis – Conducting market research, including competitor benchmarking, pricing analysis, and customer feedback surveys.
Sales Data Management – Compiling, interpreting, and reporting on sales figures to inform business decisions.
Marketing & Promotions – Developing and implementing in-store marketing campaigns, promotional events, and loyalty programmes.
Customer Relationship Management – Maintaining and strengthening relationships with key customers, account holders, and local business partners.
Supplier & Vendor Negotiation – Liaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing, secure promotional support, and improve delivery performance.
Team Support & Development – Contributing to the training and support of sales staff to ensure consistent customer service standards.
Performance Reporting – Producing reports and recommendations on sales and marketing strategies for senior management.
Industry Awareness – Staying updated on retail trends, emerging products, and competitor activity to inform planning.

Job Requirements
Requirements of the Role
Education: Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field (postgraduate qualification desirable).
Industry specific experience a distinct advantage.
Technical Skills: Competence in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with inventory or sales tracking systems.
Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of sales strategies, product positioning, and retail market dynamics.


Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation abilities.
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret sales data and market research to support decision-making.
Interpersonal Skills: Negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
Problem-Solving Ability: Proactive in identifying challenges and developing solutions to improve sales performance.


Flexibility: Willingness to carry out tasks outside the normal functions of the role in accordance with business needs, and to adapt strategies based on changing market conditions and business priorities.
