Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare, cook, and present freshly made dishes to Javinos’ quality and presentation standards
  • Maintain a structured and professional kitchen environment, ensuring consistency, timing, and coordination across all orders.
  • Adhere strictly to HACCP regulations and uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage proper stock rotation to support a fresh-food operation.
  • Accurately record all food waste in the waste book in line with compliance procedures.
  • Label all food items daily and ensure that cleaning schedules are consistently followed and documented.
  • Work collaboratively under the direction of management, maintaining respectful and professional relationships with colleagues, front-of-house staff, and customers.
  • Ensure timely preparation of dishes while maintaining the quality standards expected in a casual dining setting
  • Deliver attentive and courteous customer service reflective of a sit-in dining experience.
  • Operate kitchen and service equipment safely and efficiently in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene, exceeding statutory requirements.
  • Carry out any additional duties as reasonably directed by management.

Terms:
39 hours per week
€36,605 per annum

Job Requirements
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, preferably within a casual dining or full-service food environment.
Strong knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards.
Proven ability to prepare fresh ingredients and present freshly made dishes to a consistently high standard.
Ability to work efficiently in a structured kitchen environment where dishes are prepared from scratch, from fresh ingredients, to order.
Strong organisational skills, with attention to stock control and waste management.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food quality.
Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.
