About Us:
Chefs Café Craughwell is a well-known local café and restaurant located in the heart of Craughwell, County Galway. We pride ourselves on offering fresh, locally sourced food, delicious baked goods, and a warm community atmosphere. Our menu features breakfast, brunch, and lunch specials, with strong attention to quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.  
We are now expanding our kitchen team and looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join us.
 
About the Role:
As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and helping ensure that service runs smoothly in a busy café environment.
 
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards.
- Take responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen (e.g. breakfast, grill, salads, or desserts).
- Support the Head Chef in menu planning and daily specials.
- Ensure all dishes are consistent in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Follow HACCP procedures and maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.
- Assist in stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste.
- Work as part of a small, supportive kitchen team.

Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience as Chef de Partie (or strong experience as Commis ready to step up).
Passion for fresh, seasonal cooking and creative presentation.
Good understanding of HACCP and food hygiene regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times.
Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
