Job Description

 As Chef de Partie at Sheela Palace you are responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Indian dishes are executed to perfection. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of their section, maintaining highest culinary standards, managing ingredients and equipment, and ensuring the quality and authenticity of the dishes. The Chef de Partie works closely with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff to deliver a seamless dining experience, ensuring that traditional Indian recipes and techniques are followed while maintaining efficiency in the kitchen.
Job Requirements
Requirements for the Role: Proven experience in a similar role (2+ years), preferably in an Indian or South Indian restaurant. Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine, including dishes such as dosa, idli, sambar, vada, and various regional curries and chutneys. Ability to manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations during service. Excellent attention to detail to ensure the quality, authenticity, and presentation of each dish. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of food quality. Strong organizational and time-management skills to maintain consistency and efficiency during peak hours. Good communication skills to coordinate with other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Knowledge of food safety regulations, ensuring all dishes are prepared and stored according to health standards.
