Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out accurate setting out for groundworks, drainage, roads and services using total station, GPS and level equipment
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications and contract documents
• Ensure all works comply with Irish Water (Uisce Éireann) specifications and other relevant standards
• Produce, update and mark up drawings using CAD
• Maintain accurate site records, levels, quantities and as-built information
• Carry out dimensional and quality-control checks throughout the works
• Liaise with the design team, site manager, gangers, subcontractors and suppliers
• Support health, safety and quality compliance on site
Essential Skills & Experience
• Approximately 4 years’ experience in a site / civil engineering role
• Proven setting-out experience (total station / GPS / level) — essential
• Experience producing as-built drawings and records
• Up to date with Irish Water (Uisce Éireann) specifications and standards
• Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD or similar) — a must
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Good working knowledge of drainage, water / wastewater, roads and groundworks
• Full clean driving licence
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative
Desirable
• A qualification in Civil Engineering (degree or diploma) is essential
• Previous experience on Irish Water / Uisce Éireann projects
• Relevant CSCS tickets
