Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday–Friday, site hours may vary with project schedule)
Salary: €36,650 per year, depending on experience
About the role
NPC is a groundworks and civil engineering contractor working on housing developments, public-sector schools, IDA units, and water/waste-water infrastructure projects. We are looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our site teams, delivering high-quality concrete work across foundations, floor slabs, and hard-standing areas.
Job Requirements
Key responsibilities
• Place, level, and finish concrete to specification on foundations, slabs, and paved areas
• Read and work from site drawings and levels
• Operate hand and power tools for screeding, floating, and trowelling
• Work with formwork and reinforcement crews to prepare pours
• Ensure finished concrete meets tolerance, grade, and surface finish requirements
• Follow all site safety procedures and NPC’s health and safety policy
• Work as part of a wider groundworks team, coordinating with plant operators and site supervisors
Requirements
• Proven experience as a concrete finisher on construction or civil engineering sites
• Working knowledge of concrete curing, finishing techniques, and quality standards
• Safe Pass certification (required)
• Manual Handling certification (desirable)
• Ability to read site drawings and levels
• Reliable, physically fit, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Full driving licence an advantage
