We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Consultant Cardiologist to join a progressive multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive cardiovascular care. This role is ideally suited to a non-invasive cardiologist with a strong interest in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist cardiology services across inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic settings.
Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and preventive cardiology.
Interpret and oversee non-invasive cardiac investigations, including echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and other cardiac diagnostics.
Work closely with General Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care, and other specialties to provide integrated patient care.
Participate in the General Internal Medicine (GIM) on-call rota, where applicable.
Support the development of cardiology services, including community and integrated care pathways.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Specialist registration (or eligibility for specialist registration) in Cardiology.
Experience in non-invasive cardiology and the management of a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.
Competence in cardiac imaging and non-invasive diagnostic investigations.
What We Offer:
The current Consultant salary scale ranges from €238,221 to €286,151 for a 37-hour week, with any additional work paid separately.
