We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Consultant Anaesthesiologist to join a busy multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive anaesthetic, perioperative, and critical care services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality anaesthetic care across a broad range of surgical specialties, including elective and emergency procedures.
Deliver perioperative assessment, optimisation, and management of surgical patients.
Participate in the provision of emergency anaesthesia, trauma care, and resuscitation services.
Contribute to critical care, acute pain management, and perioperative medicine services, depending on departmental requirements.
Participate in the consultant on-call rota.
Work collaboratively with surgeons, intensivists, emergency medicine physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
Support the development of patient safety, clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in teaching, training, and supervision of junior doctors, medical students, and multidisciplinary team members.
Contribute to service planning and the ongoing development of anaesthesia and perioperative care services.
Requirements:
Specialist registration (or eligibility for specialist registration) in Anaesthesiology.
Experience delivering anaesthetic care across a wide range of surgical specialties.
Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to patient safety, education, and continuous service improvement.
What We Offer:
The current Consultant salary scale ranges from €238,221 to €286,151 for a 37-hour week, with any additional work paid separately.
