Salary: €238’221 - €286’151 p/a
 
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Consultant in Respiratory Medicine & General Internal Medicine to join a progressive multidisciplinary team providing high-quality acute and specialist respiratory services.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Deliver specialist respiratory services, including the management of asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, lung infections, pleural disease, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
Contribute to the provision of bronchoscopy and other respiratory diagnostic services, where applicable.
Deliver high-quality General Internal Medicine (GIM) care for acute and complex medical patients.
Participate in the General Internal Medicine on-call rota.
Work closely with specialist nurses, physiotherapists, radiologists, physiologists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
Support service development, clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide teaching, training, and supervision to junior doctors, medical students, and allied health professionals.
Contribute to the ongoing development of respiratory and integrated care pathways.
 
Requirements:
Specialist registration (or eligibility for specialist registration) in Respiratory Medicine and Internal Medicine.
Strong experience in both Respiratory Medicine and General Internal Medicine.
Experience in respiratory diagnostics and procedures is desirable.
Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Commitment to patient-centred care, education, and continuous service improvement.
 
What We Offer:
The current Consultant salary scale ranges from €238,221 to €286,151 for a 37-hour week, with any additional work paid separately.
