Job Description

 Downey Cleaning Services is an established company based in Cork offering comprehensive commercial and residential.
We are seeking a skilled IT Operations Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of IT systems and networks, ensuring smooth operation and reliability.
Key Responsibilities: Administer, monitor, and support internal/external networks, servers, email, database, and systems. Configure and set up new server systems. Schedule and perform system maintenance tasks, including loading user applications, proc data. Analyse systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance. Identify and resolve issues, undertaking emergency maintenance when required. Perform server backup and recovery operations, restarting systems following outages. Liaise with users, external suppliers, and technical teams to ensure seamless operations.

Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience: A combination of academic qualifications (e.g., GCSEs/S grades, A levels/H grades) and/or relevant 2 years of relevant experience. A relevant degree is desirable but not mandatory. Experience in IT operations, system administration, or network management is preferred. Training will be provided through on-the-job experience and specialised courses.
