Job Description

LGV / Commercial Van Technician

Location: Galway
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40-hour week)
Salary: €44,000 - €48,000 per annum

The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing Volkswagen Crafter, MAN TGE, and other light commercial vehicles in a modern workshop environment.

Key Duties

  • Service, maintain and repair vans and light commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
  • Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Complete vehicle inspections and roadworthiness checks
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate workshop records
  • Support junior technicians when required

Job Requirements
Requirements
Qualified Commercial Vehicle, LGV, Heavy Vehicle or Automotive Technician
Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience
Experience working on Volkswagen Crafter and/or MAN TGE vehicles
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Good knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems
Full driving licence
Good English communication skills
Valid permission to work in Ireland
