Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults on plant, machinery, and production equipment. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing of mechanical systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company maintenance schedules.
Dismantling, repairing, and reassembling mechanical components including gearboxes, bearings, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and other industrial equipment. Installing, aligning, and commissioning new plant and machinery as required.
Conducting inspections of machinery to identify wear, defects, or potential failures and implementing corrective action.
Using appropriate tools, equipment, and technical drawings to carry out fitting, fabrication, and mechanical assembly tasks.
Ensuring all maintenance work complies with Irish health and safety legislation, company procedures, and industry standards.
Completing maintenance records, job reports, and inspection documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Assisting in minimising downtime by responding promptly to mechanical breakdowns.
Maintaining a safe and organised workshop and ensuring proper handling and disposal of materials and components.
