Job Description

 MacNi Limited, a leading tree felling and management company in Ireland, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, repair, and safety of machinery and equipment,. The successful candidate will manage a small team, ensure compliance with Irish health and safety regulations (e.g., Safe Pass, ESB standards), and minimise downtime to support efficient forestry operations.
 
Key Responsibilities: Supervise the maintenance and repair of chainsaws, welding metal components, and electrical systems on forestry machinery. Ensure all equipment meets safety standards, including NR-10, NR-12, and local ESB regulations. Conduct regular inspections and coordinate emergency repairs. Train and oversee staff in safe equipment handling and maintenance practices. Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules and safety compliance.

Job Requirements
Essential Skills and Qualifications: More than 2 years of experience in machinery maintenance, preferably in forestry or construction. Certification in Chainsaw Maintenance (2-stroke engines, cutting, and pruning) Irish-recognised certifications: Safe Pass, Manual Handling, ESB Induction, and UA1-ESB. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., NR-06, NR-18). Ability to lead a team and manage logistics in a rural setting. Desirable Skills: Experience as a supervisor or team leader in a technical trade. Professional driving licence for trucks and emergency response training (e.g., Military Firefighter).
