Avara Landscapes Ltd, one of Ireland’s leading landscape contractors specialising in high-quality hard and soft landscaping works across Leinster, Munster and Connacht, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, repair and safety of machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the maintenance and repair of CNC machinery, precision saws, welding equipment, presses, and electrical systems used in window and door manufacturing.
- Ensure all equipment meets required safety standards, including Safe Pass and relevant Irish health & safety regulations (e.g., ESB standards).
- Conduct regular inspections and coordinate emergency repairs to minimise downtime.
- Train and oversee staff in safe equipment handling and maintenance practices.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules and safety compliance.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- More than 2 years of experience in machinery maintenance, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or the windows and doors industry.
- Irish-recognised certifications: Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and ESB Induction (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead a small team and effectively manage maintenance operations in a fast-paced production or site environment.
