A permanent position is available for an experienced radiologist at Bærum Hospital, part of the Vestre Viken Health Trust, located just outside Oslo. The hospital is seeking a dedicated specialist to strengthen their radiology department.
Bærum Hospital is a modern facility in Sandvika, serving a large and diverse patient population in the greater Oslo region. The radiology department provides a wide range of high-quality diagnostic services and is actively integrating advanced technologies to improve clinical workflows and patient care.
The department is known for its strong interdisciplinary collaboration and commitment to professional development. It is also among the first in Norway to implement a dedicated artificial intelligence (AI) platform for clinical use. This forward-leaning approach supports both the development of radiology as a specialty and the delivery of more accurate diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily operations across all imaging modalities, including MRI, CT, ultrasound and conventional X-rays.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide guidance to resident doctors.
- Contribute to the on-call rotation schedule.
- Foster collaboration within the department and across the Vestre Viken Health Trust.
- Support the development of a positive work environment and continuous professional growth.
Qualifications
- Medical license and radiology specialty certification from an EU/EEA country.
- Proficient in English and motivated to learn Norwegian. A free language course will be provided.
- Experience with MRI is particularly valued. Interest or experience in thoracic radiology and/or thyroid diagnostics is also advantageous.
- A clean criminal record must be documented through a police certificate in accordance with the Health Personnel Act.
