Job Description

Engineer and optimise end-to-end dispensing workflows to enhance operational throughput and minimise patient waiting times. Lead internal and external compliance audits, ensuring full adherence to PSI regulatory frameworks and professional standards. Design and govern robust quality assurance frameworks to uphold the highest standards of medication safety, accuracy, and therapeutic effectiveness. Leverage advanced inventory management systems to forecast demand, maintain optimal stock levels, and minimise wastage. Deploy error-prevention technologies, including barcode verification and electronic prescribing integration, to improve dispensing accuracy and patient safety. Maintain rigorous documentation protocols and ensure timely submission of all statutory reports and audit requirements. Apply data-driven approaches to monitor KPIs, identify performance gaps, and drive continuous operational improvement. Establish and manage pharmacovigilance systems to monitor, assess, and report adverse drug reactions in compliance with safety regulations. Develop and deliver advanced training programmes focused on regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational excellence. Implement automation solutions for routine processes, enhancing accuracy while enabling staff to focus on higher-value clinical and operational activities.



 
Job Requirements
Possess over two years of experience overseeing pharmacy operations, with a strong preference for dispensary-based environments. Demonstrate proven capability in designing, implementing, and optimising operational workflows to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a closely related discipline. Maintain a thorough understanding of legal, ethical, and professional obligations within pharmacy practice. Apply advanced inventory control methodologies and systems to ensure optimal stock management and cost efficiency. Demonstrate strong grasp of supply chain management principles within a healthcare and pharmaceutical context. Possess deep expertise in quality assurance frameworks, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Utilise error-prevention strategies, including modern technologies and validated protocols, to enhance dispensing accuracy. Understand the wider healthcare ecosystem and its operational impact on pharmacy services and patient outcomes. Maintain working proficiency with electronic prescribing platforms and broader healthcare IT infrastructure.
