Position: Playgroup Leader
Company: Little Saints Creche Locations: Rathcoole, Co. Dublin
Salary: €36,605 per year
Hours: 39 hours per week
 
About the Role Little Saints Creche is seeking a dedicated and experienced Playgroup Leaders to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising children’s play, encouraging physical, social, and emotional development, and creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for early learning.
 
Main Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in daily playgroup activities. Encourage children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Provide opportunities for different types of play, including structured, imaginative, creative, and outdoor play. Prepare materials and set up a variety of age-appropriate activities. Maintain a caring, safe, and positive environment for all children. Observe and record developmental progress and communicate effectively with parents whenrequired. Ensure full compliance with Tusla Early Years Regulations, health and safety guidelines, and internal policies. Work collaboratively with other early years educators and support staff.

Job Requirements
Candidate Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience working in early childhood care, childcare, preschool, or playgroup settings. A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Childcare, Pedagogy, Psychology, or another relevant field. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with children and families. A caring, empathetic, and patient nature with strong attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a supportive learning environment. Knowledge of Aistear and Síolta frameworks is an advantage. A second language is an asset but not required. Must be available to work on-site for 39 hours per week.
