Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Roofer / Solar Roof Installer to join our growing installation team.
This role involves preparing, repairing, and installing roofing systems to support solar PV panels and other renewable technologies. Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems (tile, slate, metal, and flat roofs). Prepare roof structures for solar PV panel installation, including mounting systems and weatherproofing. Experience with renewable energy installations (solar PV, heat pumps). Familiarity with SEAI standards or similar regulatory requirements. Basic electrical or construction knowledge.
Key Responsibilities: Work closely with solar installers and electricians to ensure safe and efficient system installation. Inspect roofs for structural integrity and suitability for renewable installations. Carry out roof flashing, sealing, and waterproofing to prevent leaks. Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and building standards. Work on residential and commercial projects across multiple locations. Maintain high-quality workmanship in line with company standards.

Remuneration: €35,000 to €40,000 annually
Hours per week: 39 hours
Hourly Rate: €18.05
Job Requirements
Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience as a roofer (minimum 2–3 years preferred). Experience working on pitched and flat roofs. Strong understanding of roofing materials and installation methods. Experience with solar PV installations (advantage, but training can be provided). Ability to work at heights and follow strict safety procedures. Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and Working at Heights certifications (preferred). Full, clean driving licence (desirable). Strong teamwork and communication skills.
