Steel Fixer – Wexford / Kildare / Carlow
Position: Steel Fixer Location: Wexford, Kildare & Carlow Employment Type: Full-time 39 hour working week
Start Date: Immediate Industry: Civil Engineering / Groundworks / Construction
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Steel Fixers to join our team on multiple projects across Wexford, Kildare and Carlow. The successful candidates will be responsible for reading drawings, setting out, cutting, bending and tying steel reinforcement for concrete structures in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and work from technical drawings, plans and schedules.Measure, cut, bend and fix steel reinforcement bars and mesh.Install steel reinforcement for foundations, slabs, walls, beams and columns.Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.Work closely with site management, engineers and other trades.Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards.Adhere to all site safety rules, RAMS and procedures.
Job Requirements
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Steel Fixer.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
Safe Pass (mandatory).
Manual Handling (mandatory).
CSCS Steel Fixing card (preferred but not essential).
Own tools and transport an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
