Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, ISO standards, and fabrication schematics to produce precision metal structures.
Perform advanced MIG, TIG, and MMA welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials in accordance with EN ISO 9606 standards.
Set up, calibrate, and operate fabrication machinery including CNC plasma cutters, press brakes, and rolling machines.
Execute complex fabrication and assembly of structural components, pressure vessels, and custom metal frameworks.
Conduct weld preparation activities including cutting, grinding, beveling, and edge finishing to ensure optimal weld quality.
Ensure all welds meet non-destructive testing (NDT) requirements such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), and dye penetrant inspection (DPI).
Monitor and control heat input, distortion, and residual stress during welding processes to maintain dimensional accuracy.
Apply knowledge of metallurgy to select appropriate filler materials and welding techniques based on base metal properties.
Perform on-site installation and welding work in compliance with Irish health and safety regulations and site-specific RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements).
Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance systems aligned with ISO 9001 and EN 1090 fabrication standards.
